Native forests designed around place, purpose and experience.
From compact urban forests to larger native landscapes, Hydragreens develops and establishes tree zones according to the site's conditions, available space and intended purpose. We call it 'Special Tree Zones'

How would you like to experience your forest?
A quiet forest walk, a space for nature immersion and reflection, a meditative retreat, a small fruit forest in your backyard, or a learning forest for young minds?
Whatever your vision, a Special Tree Zone can be shaped around your space, your purpose and the experience you want to create.
We bring the ecological expertise to turn your idea into a living forest—designed to grow with you and become part of the place you call your own.
A plantation is often measured by the number of trees planted. A forest is defined by the relationships between its trees, plants, soil, water and surrounding environment.
Trees grow alongside shrubs, ground vegetation, soil organisms and other forms of life. Different species occupy different spaces, interact with one another and gradually create a more complex living environment.
A Special Tree Zone brings this principle into designed landscapes.
Instead of creating uniform rows of trees, we bring together native species, planting structure, vegetation layers, soil preparation, water considerations and establishment practices to create a more diverse and functional green space.
The objective is not simply to increase tree cover, but to create a landscape that can establish, mature and develop ecological value over time.

Dense, multi-layered native forests for suitable urban, corporate, institutional and other land parcels.
Where appropriate, we use Miyawaki-based planting approaches adapted to local ecological and site conditions.

Larger native landscapes designed to combine trees, shrubs, ground vegetation and habitat features to create more diverse and ecologically functional green spaces.

Native planting that can strengthen connections between green spaces and create vegetated buffers along suitable infrastructure, campuses, roads and site boundaries.

Native forest establishment as part of restoring degraded or underutilised land, with interventions adapted to the site's ecological condition.

The composition and density of planting are determined by available space, soil conditions, climate, existing vegetation and the intended function of the site.
Rather than relying on a limited number of commonly planted species, we create a diverse mix of locally appropriate trees, shrubs and ground vegetation.
Different vegetation layers are brought together to create greater structural diversity than conventional single-layer plantation.
The landscape is supported through its establishment period with appropriate maintenance and monitoring. As the vegetation develops, the objective is to allow the planting structure to mature and progressively become a more established and functional green landscape.
